Questions

Is Footing therapy?

No. It is a self-help companion for tracking and learning. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace care from a licensed professional.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone only. Footing has no account and does not upload your entries. Back up and restore from the More tab.

Who writes the skill guides?

Footing writes them as plain-language reminders. They have not been reviewed by a clinician, and every guide says so. If a technique does not feel safe or right for you, skip it and talk to your therapist or doctor.

Which countries are supported?

Footing is in English and is planned for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. The Support screen shows emergency numbers and crisis lines for those countries.

Does it work on Android?

Not yet. Footing is for iPhone.

If you might hurt yourself or someone else, call your local emergency number. In the app, the Support button shows crisis lines for your country.
